It's Bunny week!

Why, I do believe it is Easter on Sunday! I guess that means I should go get some jelly beans and put some bunnies on my baby cards!

The first card is a direct CASE from Ashley, I saw her card during last months Blog Hop. Ashley is anew19 on Papertrey's forum; her blog is here There is a bit about hot links I don't know; I hope this link to your first page is ok, Ashley! Her baby card is dated 3/25/09.

My card uses the last bit of background I made for the March Blog Hop- I know I said that before, but I swear this time it is true! The bunny tail is a wee pom-pom glued on with white glue- I hope it stays! Papertrey's Sweet Blush polka dotted paper makes the bunny and the layer that was also punched with SU's lace punch. The bunny is just sitting in the middle of a pink organdy bow, attached with a couple of glue dots.
I had stamped out two bunnies, so might as well make two cards! Much simpler this time!! Welcome Little One is a great size for cards; it comes from Papertrey's Anniversary Set, Everyday Classics.

More bunnies tomorrow!!

Feeling Green!

Phew! I have been sick for 5 days now, and I refuse to be sick any more. Plus, I have to go to work Sunday and Monday night, and there is no way they will let me call in sick again. So! There you have it! That's all the good news. The bad news is that I am still feeling pretty bad... so I am hoping that creating my own myth of wellness will work by tomorrow night when I arrive at work!

I made this card the day I started to feel sick- I should have wondered! It uses Papertrey's Bitty Baby Basics and It's a Boy! from Hero Arts. SU's Dots N Dashes paper, plus their Green Galore and Glorious Green cs. I colored the carriage with Certainly Celery and going Gray markers, as well as Prisma's #13 Poppy Red and 20% Warm Gray. Buttons are from Earth Elements and Rich Regals. There is Stickles Fruit Punch all over the carriage, not sure if you get that in the photo.

It feels good to be back upstairs, lol, just wish I could breath!

Baby Star!

Along with some of the 'stuff' that has to go in the upcoming 'spring cleaning' are some of the majillions of images stuck on the hard drive. Here is a card from back in June of 2008...

Bitty Baby Blessings paper and stampset, Spring Moss as the layer and Stamper's Select as the base. Not sure what it was colored with, but I think it must be watercolor crayons- I bought some at ArtMart in St. Louis that match Lemon Tart and Summer Sunrise. Could also be a SU watecolor crayon.

Unknown brads and 'itty buttons.

Papertrey's CMWC #44

So, is it clean and simple or not?!? The challenge this week on the Papertrey Forum was to make a CAS card, all one layer with one embellishment. I started out thinking duck and sentiment. The sentiment was great but the duck was lonely, so then I thought maybe 3 ducks, but the background was bare so I masked the ducks and the sentiment and added the background, but then I messed up one of the squares so I had to add the ribbon, then it was lop-sided so I added another knot on the other side, and VOILA! Not so CAS, silly! Hey! It is one layer and one embellishment!

lol lol, maybe I will go back to square one and remake the lonely duck!

Bitty Baby Blessings gave us the sentiment and ducks, of course. The ovals are from Borders and Corners Ovals, and the background square is from Guidelines, but the little polka dotty thing is a flower center from Beautiful Blooms. Inks were Beaux Arts blue, Ocean Tides and Seascape, along with Versafine Onyx Black. The ducks are colored with Prisma marker Deco Yellow, but the beaks are SU's Pumpkin Pie marker.
