I have been stringing beads lately, and have been wondering how buttons would work. I know I have seen button jewelry, so I know it will work. Driving home today I thought that I really wanted to make some button earrings, but I didn't have time.

Hope this little string of buttons gives you ideas!!

That's the new Green Boutique papers from Papertrey, along with New Leaf Buttons and some wee little yellow ones I have. The edge punch is Martha Stewart; I just glued on a narrow strip of the paper under the edge. What fun!!

Casual Midweek Challenge # 53 (see it here) was a supply challenge, use those buttons! It was posted earlier in May, and there has been only one card posted back- I can only assume no one wants to use their buttons!

I saw this idea somewhere on SCS I think, or in a magazine, but did not keep the link for reference. som if it was your idea, let me know and accept my apology!

I stamped the stems from Farden of Life in Papertrey's New Leaf ink. the 'grass' was stamped in spring Moss and Rip Avocado, using a little stamp from Art Impressions. Sentiment is from SU.

The buttons are just from my stash, they are not Papertrey. The faces are drawn on with a Prisma fine line marker, then little ribbon knots glued on with white glue on their heads. New Leaf Bitty Fots ribbons finishes it off~ so cute!

This morning, my DH thought he'd go for a short little run~ since he had to be back in time for Grandson's Birthday party. Now, I was expecting a Papertrey package, and he knew that. If the slip is in the mailbox, we have to wait until the next day to get the package (or chase the car down that is delivering the mail). On Saturday, the PO is open for about an hour and a half. I expected the slip to be in the box on Monday, he'd get it for me on Tuesday, then I'd have it to play with on Tuesday afternoon when I got up from working a string of night shifts.

So, off he goes this morning, and comes back an hour and a half and 6 miles later... with my box! He found the slip in the box dated Friday (we never went to the mailbox on Friday!), hightailed it running to the PO, made it in time, then ran home carrying the box in his hands!

These are the sweetest buttons brought to me by the sweetest man you have ever met.

PS: They are in the 'small' Making Memories jars. I saw them at Michaels this afternoon, $9.99 for 6 jars. Kinda pricey, but I'm getting another set or two to stash so I will have plenty as the buttons come!
